Romans 12:3-8 — Week 20
Pastor Eran Holt picked up Romans 12:3-8 one week after the call to be transformed by the renewing of your mind, asking a plain question: if God has truly changed a person, what would you actually see? Paul answers with four ordinary changes — how you see yourself, how you see others, how you see your gift, and how you live. Eran lingered on the first, “sober judgment,” seeing yourself accurately by the faith God gave rather than by comparison, and on its surprising edge: insecurity is pride’s own fruit, both obsessed with impressing others. Grace frees you from the need to prove anything. From there — a body where no member is a spare part, a gift that is grace entrusted to you for someone else, and the reminder that a transformed life is not a better performance, but a person with nothing left to prove.
